Prayer given at the launching of the Balloons for the hurting people in New York City, Washington, D. C. and around the world hurting from the attack of Sept 11, 2001
"To you Lord we raise our prayers as we raise these balloons that symbolize our prayers being lifted to you Lord God. Hear and accept our prayers as we look to you for comfort and healing for those affected by the tragedies for a week ago.
We desire to serve you as we serve mankind. Let our motives be pure and our efforts succeed as we continue to seek your guidance.
As these balloons rise in the sky let our spirit of love and unity also be raised.
Help us to realize that you are refuge and strength an ever-present help in trouble.
We look to you , as we launch these balloons and the message of hope, to fill us with your love and glory. In Christ's Name we pray. Amen!"
